About Sage

What is Sage Collective?

Sage Collective is an online community where people gather in small, facilitator-led circles called Groves to be seen, heard and supported. It isn't a program or a course. It's a community built on shared humanity.

Is Sage therapy?

No. Groves are trauma-informed peer support, held by trained facilitators. They aren't therapy, coaching or medical care, and they aren't crisis support. Many members find Groves a meaningful companion to other care.

If you're in crisis in the US, call or text 988 any time.

Who created Sage?

Sage was born from the healing journeys of Carol Ann and Jason. Jason found transformation through group circles in his own mental health journey. Carol Ann brought over 20 years of executive HR leadership and a fierce belief that community should leave people better, not broken. Together they built the place they wished had existed for them. Meet the team.

Is Sage tied to a religion or belief system?

No. We're spiritually open and identity-affirming. No doctrine, no dogma, no exclusion. Everyone belongs here, not despite our differences, but because we honor them.

Groves

What is a Grove?

A live, online, facilitator-led circle of up to eight people. Each Grove has a theme, such as grief or PTSD/CPTSD, and lasts 75 minutes. Learn more about Groves.

What does a session actually feel like?

Most people are surprised by how calm and ordinary it feels. Sessions are paced, structured and gentle. Some are quiet, some include emotion, and many are simply people listening and being present together.

You never have to speak. There's no fixing, no analyzing, and nothing to prepare. If you're nervous, that's okay. Most people leave feeling steadier, not exposed.

Do I have to share?

Never. Passing is always welcome, and you choose how much or how little to say. Listening is a full way of taking part.

Who leads the Groves?

Trained, trauma-aware facilitators who hold the circle with integrity, consent and care. Facilitators go through a careful selection process, and we pay them fairly.

Are Groves recorded?

Never. Groves are live only, and confidentiality is one of our core agreements.

How do you keep Groves emotionally safe?

Every Grove follows the same structure and nine core agreements, including confidentiality, consent and no advice-giving. Facilitators are trained to pace the session and support anyone who needs a moment.

What topics do Groves cover?

We started where people most need support: grief and PTSD/CPTSD. A Men's Healing Grove is coming soon, and more themes will follow.

Membership & tokens

How do I join?

Choose a Rooted Membership ($20/month) or an Explorer Token ($25). After checkout, our Welcome Guide walks you into our community on Discord, step by step.

What is a token?

A token is your seat in one Grove. You can use it yourself, gift it to someone you care about, or donate it to the Token Bank.

Do tokens expire?

No. Tokens never expire. They roll over until you're ready.

Can I try a Grove without becoming a member?

Yes. An Explorer Token ($25) gives you a seat in one Grove with no membership or commitment. Additional tokens are available to members for $20 each.

How does the Token Bank work?

Members can donate tokens to a shared community fund. Those tokens become free seats for people who want to join a Grove but can't afford one right now.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. Tokens you already have stay yours. You'll need an active membership to use them in a Grove.

Do you offer refunds?

Memberships can be cancelled any time. Tokens aren't refundable, but they never expire, and you can always gift or donate them.

How is billing handled?

Securely, through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Getting set up

What do I need?

A phone or computer, a quiet spot, and Discord, which is free. Everything happens there: the schedule, reserving a seat and the Groves themselves.

I've never used Discord. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Our Welcome Guide shows you exactly what to tap, and Sage Bot greets you once you're in. If you get stuck, we're happy to help.
